Tutorial: Bullets
We will learn to be able to change shapes and types for your bullet listings.
First we will start with typing three lines of text.

Then highlight all three lines.

Go to the bottom of the screen to your Properties Inspector.

To your right you will find the Bullet Properties.

The First button from the left is to set up the bullets to appear as unordered list. The default shape for this button is circles.

The Second button is to set up the bullets to appear as ordered numbers.The default is numeric, 1., 2., 3., etc.

The Third button will move your bullet list the left.

The Fourth button will move your bullet list the right.

The shapes and number lists can be also changed to squares and roman numbers.
Once you have set up your bullet list as follows
Then go to the menu bar, click on Format and then click on List. A sub menu will appear to the right of List.
On that submenu now click on Properties…

A List Properties dialog window will appear.

The List type: drop-down menu let’s you change type of bullets on the list.
- Bulleted List: to be able to use either circle (bullets) or square shapes.
- Number List: to use a numeric list.
The Style: drop-down menu lets you change the type of style the bullet lists are to be.

- If you choose Bulleted List, then your choices from the Style: field are
[Default] (which is Bullet), Bullet (circles) and Square. - If you choose Numbered List, then your choices from the Style: field are
Number (1, 2, 3…), Roman Small (I, ii, iii…), Roman Large (I, II, III…),
Alphabet Small (a, b, c…), Alphabet Large (A, B, C…)
From the List type: field, if you have chosen Bullet List then the Start count: field will not appear because
this is not needed. If you have chosen Numbered List, then the Start count: field will appear. This is used
in case you want to start on a different number besides the number one which is default.

Once you’re done just click the OK button, you made a mistake click on the Cancel button.
